Book & CD: The Next Level
Posted in Resources | Tags: audio, book, CD, devotional, next level, shane and shane
From minor inconveniences to the most traumatic events in our lives, God wants to use every painful event to draw us closer to himself and impart wisdom. If we understand, God’s purposes for our times of struggle, we’ll trust him to instead of getting angry with him, and we’ll see each difficulty as a steppingstone to the next level of our spiritual journey. Then, even when we don’t fully understand what God is doing, we’ll be convinced that he knows, he cares and he’ll lead us.
In “The Next Level” book, we’ll look at people in the Bible and the tests they faced.
- Noah: The Tenacity Test
- David: The Waiting Test
- Solomon: The Contentment Test
- Naaman: The Humility Test
- Mary: The “Yes” Test
- The Disciples: The Courage Test
- Jesus: The Wilderness Test

Just finished reading “Next Level” a few days ago. I want to read it again. Three words sum it up: “Practical, Relavent, Real”. Pastor Scott is in your face and honest about life and spirituality.
Thank you Pastor Scott. When I am pastoring my own church this will be top of the list of suggested reading material for the church, next to the Bible of course.
God Bless,
Pastor Joe

Great discussion. And I REALLY like that you practice what you preach. That’s when you can tell a post has come together. And I’m also fascinated by how fresh you made the routine [admit it: what you just shared has been regurgitated millions of time.

Ben Johnson said people don’t need taught as much as they need reminding. Good work.

Unless we can identify our passion, we will find it difficult to visually and creatively attract and create powerful effects on our outer life such as, success, wonderful relationships, a great career, wealth, health and happiness. To help discover our passion we have to let go of our expectations of how our life is supposed to be and also what we think other people expect of us. These all stand in the way of getting in touch with our PASSION.

I am reading The Next Level for the second time. I truly believe this book challenges me with the questions about my thinking and my faith. It is wonderful for opening your eyes and strengthening faith. I HIGHLY recommend this book. It has been a blessing.
